If I only could, I'd make a deal with god

Work...
I'm so tired...
I've eitther biked or walked everywhere for the past few days...
the weather is getting worse...
My rice turned out too salty...
I'm going to enjoy my soft bed...
-_-

Now to more important things, today's post!  I thought that I'd talk about the song I chose for day 19, "Running up that hill" by Kate Bush. (yes I am Canadian and it IS spelt favourite)

It doesn't hurt me.
Do you want to feel how it feels?
Do you want to know, know that it doesn't hurt me?
Do you want to hear about the deal that I'm making?
You, It's you and me.

And if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
Be running up that building.
Say, If I only could, oh...

You don't want to hurt me,
But see how deep the bullet lies.
Unaware, I'm tearing you asunder.
Ooh, There is thunder in our hearts.

Is there so much hate for the ones who love?
Tell me we both matter don't we?

You,
It's you and me,
It's you and me who won't be unhappy.

And if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
Be running up that building.
Say, If I only could, oh...

You,
It's you and me,
It's you and me who won't be unhappy.

Come on baby, come on darling
Let me steal this moment from you now
Oh come on angel, come on come on darlin'
Let's exchange the experience oh...

And if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
With no problems...

Say if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
With no problems...

Say if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
With no problems...

Say, If I only could...
Oh...
Be running up that hill,
With no problems...

If only I could,
Be running up that hill...

There are many ways to interpret this song, going as far from simply relationship issues to female orgasms(?!?!?!?!).  Look here to see all the different point of views.  They are all good and most are well defended.  I like one from another site about the relationship issues where Kate wants to switch places with her partner so he can understand how he is hurting her (not the revenge one).  I also agree with the one featuring Kate being dead and her partner suffering to the loss of his loved one (from the first site given).  I think that there isn't one simple meaning to this song because of it's depth.  Shallow songs are easily explained, others are deep, vast and complex.

I hope that you like the song!

Leave me something to breathe!

Hello!  I'm sorry that I don't post enough....
It was a nice day...
I was at the beach yesterday...
I was walking around shooping and biking today....
I also did some gardening....
Where I live you have to suck up all the summer possible because it's winter for nine months of the year...
I CAN'T SPEND ALL MY TIME ON THE COMPUTER!!!!!!! >.<
So if I don't post as much for the next two months, you understand why.

Anyways, today I chose a song from my day 10 post, A Song I Fall Asleep To.  I can fall asleep to them not because they're boring, but rather because they're soothing.  The song from the post that I'm going to talk about is "Breathing" by Kate Bush.  When I first heard this song, I thought that it was so beautiful, much like Kate's other songs on her albums.  I soon learnt that this one like others have very dark meaning to them.  If a child in her mother's womb was capable of speaking, this is what she would cry out if her mother was a smoke addict.  The toxic fumes from the cigarette makes it's way to the child, smothering her completely.  She is incapable of breathing.  The is nothing TO breath but smoke.  She wants to be able to breath.  She wants to live.

Outside
Gets inside
Through her skin.
I've been out before
But this time it's much safer in.

Last night in the sky,
Such a bright light.
My radar send me danger
But my instincts tell me to keep

Breathing,
("Out, in, out, in, out, in...")
Breathing it in,
Breathing my mother in,
Breathing my beloved in,
Breathing it in,
Breathing her nicotine,
Breathing it in,
Breathing the fall-out in,
Out in, out in, out in, out in.

We've lost our chance.
We're the first and the last, ooh,
After the blast.
Chips of Plutonium
Are twinkling in every lung.

I love my
Beloved, ooh,
All and everywhere,
Only the fools blew it.
You and me
Knew life itself is

Breathing,
("Out, in, out, in, out...")
Breathing it in,
Breathing my mother in,
Breathing my beloved in,
Breathing it in,
Breathing her nicotine,
Breathing it in,
Breathing the fall-out in,
Out in, out in, out in, out in,
Out in, out in, out in, out...
("Out!")

"In point of fact it is possible to tell the
("Out!")
difference between a small nuclear explosion and
a large one by a very simple method. The calling
card of a nuclear bomb is the blinding flash that
is far more dazzling than any light on earth--brighter
even than the sun itself--and it is by the duration
of this flash that we are able to determine the size
("What are we going to do without?")
of the weapon. After the flash a fireball can be
seen to rise, sucking up under it the debris, dust
and living things around the area of the explosion,
and as this ascends, it soon becomes recognisable
as the familiar "mushroom cloud". As a demonstration
of the flash duration test let's try and count the
number of seconds for the flash emitted by a very
small bomb; then a more substantial, medium-sized
bomb; and finally, one of our very powerful,
"high-yield" bombs

"What are we going to do without?"
Ooh please!
"What are we going to do without?"
Let me breathe!
"What are we going to do without?"
Ooh, Quick!
"We are all going to die without!"
Breathe in deep!
"What are we going to die without?"
Leave me something to breathe!
"We are all going to die without!"
Oh, leave me something to breathe!
"What are we going to do without?"
Oh, God, please leave us something to breathe!
"We are all going to die without"
Oh, life is--Breathing.

Another dark side to this song seems to be about nuclear after maths.  Perhaps a nuclear war took place either recently and life is quickly, or it's been years and people are still suffering.  It could also be the after maths of a n explosion that let off some radiation, but was too small to be considered a nuclear bomb.  All the same, people are suffering no matter the size of the explosion is.

I hope you like the song!

Moi qui suis dans mon rêve, t'entends ma chérie? (Day 30)

Here's something a bit different for the last post of this challenge, last year I went through a faze where I listened to A LOT of J-POP.  J-POP is Japanese pop music, and I mostly listened to Kanon Wakeshima.  Here is the song that I liked the most

Here are the lyrics in English, the words in quotations are sung in French, the rest is Japanese:

Lolitawork Libretto
"I in my dreams"
A girls mechanism
"My beloved, can you hear me?"
Of a music box
"I in my dreams"
In a picture book
"My beloved, can you hear me?"
Waits for her

It's a crescent moon tonight
The scent of peppermint
Softly, the city lights
Adorn the lace dress
The dripping moon
Drops into darkness
Stops time

"The girlish mechanism of a clock's been stolen"
「Is the girl in her?」
"Turn back time"
「Listen carefully to the music box」

A magical carriage stops before her
What kind of world will it take her to?

"I in my dreams"
A girls mechanism
"My beloved, can you hear me?"

Of a music box
"I in my dreams"
In a picture book
"My beloved, can you hear me?"
Waits for her

"Hurry"
Meaningless play
"Silence"
A waltz that buzzes in my ear
"Help"
A fantasy from which there is no return
"Stop!"
She can't hear
"Wake up"

A sky sparkling with diamonds
A castle of vanilla cream
The speed of the wheel quietly
Make a noise on the rails of the clock's second hand
A magical country spreads before her eyes
What world will she become a part of?

"I in my dreams"
A girls mechanism
"My beloved, can you hear me?"
Of a music box
"I in my dreams"
In a picture book
"My beloved, can you hear me?"
Is her

"I in my dreams"
A girls mechanism
"My beloved, can you hear me?"
The hand of the clock
"I in my dreams"
In a picture book
"My beloved, can you hear me?"
Remains unmoving

"Hurry"
Meaningless play
"Silence"
A waltz that buzzes in my ear
"Help"
A fantasy from which there is no return
"Stop!"
She can't hear
"Wake Up"

"Hurry"
Meaningless play
"Silence"
A waltz that buzzes in my ear
"Help"
A fantasy from which there is no return
"Stop!"
She can't hear
"Wake up"
Wake Up

「Wake Up」

I hope you've all enjoyed the songs that I've posted for this challenge.  You'll see them again in greater depth sometime soon, until then, see you all later!!!!!!

Day 29 - A Song From My Childhood

I'll get right to the point because I don't have much time, and I want to finish this challenge!  A song from my childhood, "Cinnamon Girl" by Neil Young.  That's the first one that came to mind.

Cinnamon Girl
I wanna live
with a cinnamon girl
I could be happy
the rest of my life
With a cinnamon girl.

A dreamer of pictures
I run in the night
You see us together,
chasing the moonlight,
My cinnamon girl.

Ten silver saxes,
a bass with a bow
The drummer relaxes
and waits between shows
For his cinnamon girl.

A dreamer of pictures
I run in the night
You see us together,
chasing the moonlight,
My cinnamon girl.

Pa sent me money now
I'm gonna make it somehow
I need another chance
You see your baby loves to dance
Yeah...yeah...yeah.

I'm almost done the challenge!  I hope you enjoy the songs that I post!

Day 28 - A Song That Makes Me Feel Guilty

...
I'm sorry that I haven't posted lately.
Exam are done now!
I was able to dig out my computer from underneath my school supplies.
And I still can't think of anything for this post...
...
A bit of a fail...
Gah!  I can't think of anything so I'll just post a song that I like!

Hummingbird -- Wilco
His goal in life was to be an echo
Riding alone, town after town, toll after toll
A fixed bayonet through the great southwest to forget her

She appears in his dreams
But in his car and in his arms
A dream can mean anything
A cheap sunset on a television set can upset her
But he never could

Remember to remember me
Standing still in your past
Floating fast like a hummingbird

His goal in life was to be an echo
The type of sound that floats around and then back down
Like a feather
But in the deep chrome canyons of the loudest Manhattans
No one could hear him
Or anything

So he slept on a mountain
In a sleeping bag underneath the stars
He would lie awake and count them
And the gray fountain spray of the great Milky Way
Would never let him
Die alone

Remember to remember me
Standing still in your past
Floating fast like a hummingbird

Remember to remember me
Standing still in your past
Floating fast like a hummingbird

A hummingbird
A hummingbird

I love this song!  I hope you do too!

Day 27 - A Song You Wish You Could Play

Sorry that I didn't post yesterday... I was studying for my social studies exam (that I wrote today) and then I had Karate.
I can't think of any songs that I want to play, at least nothing comes to mind at the moment.
...
*thinks hard*
I know!  "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica!  On acoustic guitar!  (learning guitar slowly on my own)

Nothing Else Matters
So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
and nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
and nothing else matters

never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
but I know

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters

never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
but I know

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us, something new
Open mind for a different view
and nothing else matters

never cared for what they say
never cared for games they play
never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
and I know

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No, nothing else matters

I hope you like it!

Day 25 - A Song That Makes Me Laugh

If you want to laugh at a song, listen to any Arrogant Worms song, they're a comedy group.  Well... another song that came to mind is actually an ACDC song, if you think about it (and if you're teenager with their mind in the gutter like, sadly, me) then you'll think of the same song
...
Figure it out yet?  Gah!  I know patience is a virtue, but I can't wait.  I'll just tell you.
"Big Balls".
Yes.
THAT song.
I love the word notoriety that he uses at the beginning... he sounds so smart...
Then he starts singing about his balls.
...
Well here you go!  "Big Balls" by ACDC.

*too stunned by lyrics to post them*

I hope that you like the song!  See you tomorrow!

Day 24 - A Song to Plat at My Funeral

"Another One Bites" the Dust by Queen...  I'm serious!  It's an awesome song!

Another One Bites the Dust
Oh! Let's go!
Steve walks warily down the street
With his brim pulled way down low
Ain't no sound but the sound of his feet
Machine guns ready to go

Are you ready hey are you ready for this?
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat?
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat yeah

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone and another one gone
Another one bites the dust hey
Hey I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust

How do you think I'm going to get along
Without you when you're gone
You took me for everything that I had
And kicked me out on my own

Are you happy are you satisfied?
How long can you stand the heat
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat look out

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone and another one gone
Another one bites the dust hey
Hey I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust

Hey
Oh take it - Bite the dust
Bite the dust hey
Hey Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust ow
Another one bites the dust he he
Another one bites the dust hay yay ya ya ya
Ooh shoota!

There are plenty of ways that you can hurt a man
And bring him to the ground
You can beat him
You can cheat him
You can treat him bad and leave him
When he's down yeah
But I'm ready yes I'm ready for you
I'm standing on my own two feet
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
Repeating to the sound of the beat

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone and another one gone
Another one bites the dust yeah
Hey I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust
Shoota!

Yeah! Alright!

I'm  not joking!  to dispite all of you who doubt me, my friends are witnesses to this statement and will follow through (when I die in 70 or so years... perhaps 90, I'd like to be the oldest karate shihan alive...): I WANT THIS SONG PLAYED AT MY FUNERAL!!!!!!!!  It's final.  I hope you like the song!

Day 23 - A Song to Play at My Wedding

... *spaced out* ...
depends on who the guy is.  Meh, I'll just post this song because it's sweet and I can picture it at a wedding.  "Angel Eyes" by John Hiatt.

The version I have is slightly different, it's from his album "Hiatt Comes Alive at Buddokan".

Angel Eyes
Girl, you're looking fine tonight
And every Fella HAS got you in his sights
What you're doing with a clown like me
Is surely one of life's little mysteries

CHORUS:
So tonight I'll ask the stars above
How did I ever win your love?
What did I do, what did I say
To turn your angel eyes my way?

Well I'm the guy who never learned to dance
I never even got one second glance
Across the crowded room, that was close enough
I could look, but I could never touch

CHORUS

Don't anybody wake me if this is a dream
'Cause she is the best thing that's ever happened to me
All you fellas yeh! you can look all you like
But this girl you see, she's leaving HERE with me tonight

And there's just one more thing I need to know
If this is love then why does it scare me so
Must be something only you can see
But girl, I feel it when you look at me

CHORUS

What did I do, what did I say?
To turn your angel eyes my way.

There's a lot of covers for this song, not even the person who introduced me to John Hiatt knew this song as Hiatt's.  I hope you all enjoy this song, see you later!

Day 22 - A Song I Listen to When I'm Sad

As I said, my mood doesn't really affect my choice of music.  So this is just a regular post in a sense.  *looks at mp3* This song here has a depressing title, I'll pretend that it goes with the topic.  *plays song*  I like it...  I hope you do to!  The song is called "Funeral for a Friend (Love Lies Bleeding)".  Lets see if I can find it on You Tube...

Yes!  I found it!  *longer through the song*  Hey, there's lyrics too! (after about six minutes of instrumentals)

Funeral for a Friend (Love Lies Bleeding)
The roses in the window box
Have tilted to one side
Everything about this house
Was born to grow and die

Oh it doesn't seem a year ago
To this very day
You said I'm sorry honey
If I don't change the pace
I can't face another day

And love lies bleeding in my hand
Oh it kills me to think of you with another man
I was playing rock and roll and you were just a fan
But my guitar couldn't hold you
So I split the band
Love lies bleeding in my hands

I wonder if those changes
Have left a scar on you
Like all the burning hoops of fire
That you and I passed through

You're a bluebird on a telegraph line
I hope you're happy now
Well if the wind of change comes down your way girl
You'll make it back somehow

Song Facts: (from here)

  • Elton wrote the music for this song after thinking about what he would want played at his funeral.
  • The "Funeral For A Friend" section is instrumental. It transitions into "Love Lies Bleeding," an angry song about a broken relationship. Bernie Taupin, who is Elton's songwriting partner, wrote the lyrics.
  • Since this is about 11 minutes long, it was not released as a single. It became a very popular song on FM radio, partly because it wasn't played very often, and also because it gave DJs a chance to take a bathroom break or smoke a cigarette.
  • The synthesizer part was played by Dave Hentschel, a producer and engineer who learned how to program the Moog Synthesizer, which was fairly new at the time. He went on to work with Ringo Starr and Phil Collins.
  • Progressive Rock group Dream Theater (who are known as Dream Theatre in Europe) did a cover of this on their 1995 album A Change of Seasons. (thanks, Danny - Franklin, GA)

So it's two songs... I really love this song!  I hope you do too!  See you all later! (and no, I'm not skipping class, it's a half day -.-)

Day 21 - A Song I Listen to When I'm Happy

These topics are getting really cliché.  Ah well, I'll just finish this 30 day challenge and go back to normal post.... then maybe I'll do another...  My mood doesn't tend to affect my choice of music.  I'll just post a Led Zepplin song.

Gallows Pole
Hangman, hangman, hold it a little while,
I Think I see my friends coming, Riding a many mile.
Friends, you get some silver?
Did you get a little gold?
What did you bring me, my dear friends? Keep me from the Gallows Pole.
What did you bring me to keep me from the Gallows Pole?

I couldn't get no silver, I couldn't get no gold,
You know that we're too damn poor to keep you from the Gallows Pole.
Hangman, hangman, hold it a little while,
I think I see my brother coming, riding many a mile.
Brother, you get me some silver?
Did you get a little gold?
What did you bring me, my brother, to keep me from the Gallows Pole?

Brother, I brought you some silver, yeah.
I brought a little gold, I brought a little of everything
To keep you from the Gallows Pole.
Yes, I brought you to keep you from the Gallows Pole.

Hangman, hangman, turn your head awhile,
I think I see my sister coming, riding many mile, mile, mile.
Sister, I implore you, take him by the hand,
Take him to some shady bower, save me from the wrath of this man,
Please take him, save me from the wrath of this mad, man.

Hangman, hangman, upon your face a smile,
Tell me that I'm free to ride,
Ride for many mile, mile, mile.

Oh yes, you got a fine sister, She warmed my blood from cold,
She warmed my blood to boiling hot to keep you from the Gallows Pole,
Your brother brought me silver, Your sister warmed my soul,
But now I laugh and pull so hard, see you swinging from the Gallows Pole

But now I laugh and pull so hard, see you swinging from the Gallows Pole
Swingin' on the gallows pole!

Ah-ha-ha
Swingin'
Swingin' on the gallows pole!
See-saw marjory daw
See-saw knock at my door

I just love this song.  I find the lyrics amusing, he's about to be hanged, but he says 'wait, wait, I see my brother / sister coming!'  And his brother and sister are tools to bribe the hang man so he won't be hung.  In the end he is.  I hope you like the song!  See you all later!

Day 20 - A Song I Listen to when I'm Angry

First thing that comes to mind is Joan Jett, but if were mad, shouldn't I be listening to soothing music? ... Nah...

Bad Reputation
I don't give a damn 'bout my reputation
You're living in the past it's a new generation
A girl can do what she wants to do and that's
What I'm gonna do
An' I don't give a damn ' bout my bad reputation

Oh no not me

An' I don't give a damn 'bout my reputation
Never said I wanted to improve my station
An' I'm only doin' good
When I'm havin' fun
An' I don't have to please no one
An' I don't give a damn
'Bout my bad reputation

Oh no, not me
Oh no, not me
I don't give a damn
'Bout my reputation
I've never been afraid of any deviation
An' I don't really care
If ya think I'm strange
I ain't gonna change An' I'm never gonna care 'Bout my bad reputation

Oh no, not me
Oh no, not me

Pedal boys!

An' I don't give a damn
'Bout my reputation
The world's in trouble
There's no communication
An' everyone can say
What they want to say
It never gets better anyway
So why should I care
'Bout a bad reputation anyway
Oh no, not me
Oh no, not me

I don't give a damn 'bout my bad reputation
You're living in the past
It's a new generation
An' I only feel good
When I got no pain
An' that's how I'm gonna stay
An' I don't give a damn
'Bout my bad reputation

Oh no, not me
Oh no, not
Not me, not me

I hope you like it!

Day 19 - A Song From My Favourite Album

Summer days have come at last!  No more snow!!!!!! : )
Favourite album.... right now that would have to be "The Whole Story" be Kate Bush.  Here's a song from that album!

Running Up That Hill
It doesn't hurt me.
Do you want to feel how it feels?
Do you want to know, know that it doesn't hurt me?
Do you want to hear about the deal that I'm making?
You, It's you and me.

And if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
Be running up that building.
Say, If I only could, oh...

You don't want to hurt me,
But see how deep the bullet lies.
Unaware, I'm tearing you asunder.
Ooh, There is thunder in our hearts.

Is there so much hate for the ones who love?
Tell me we both matter don't we?

You,
It's you and me,
It's you and me who won't be unhappy.

And if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
Be running up that building.
Say, If I only could, oh...

You,
It's you and me,
It's you and me who won't be unhappy.

Come on baby, come on darling
Let me steal this moment from you now
Oh come on angel, come on come on darlin'
Let's exchange the experience oh...

And if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
With no problems...

Say if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
With no problems...

Say if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
With no problems...

Say, If I only could...
Oh...
Be running up that hill,
With no problems...

If only I could,
Be running up that hill...

Thank you everyone who reads my blog!  I honestly have no idea what I'm doing, so if you're enjoying the blog I must be doing something right... See you all later!

Day 18 - A Song you Wish You Would Hear on the Radio

I wish that they'd play good music up north here... Oh welll, I'll just continue to talk about that Calgary radio station then.  Let's see... What don't they play... Kate Bush, John Hiatt, Johnny Cash, Wilco, B-52's, Ben Folds Five, ... I have yet to post anything John Hiatt ( I think) so I'll post one of his songs!

Ethylene
I'm sitting on the toilet
With my sunglasses on
Wondering what you are up to
This hotel's got bathroom telephones
But I don't want to interrupt you
You might be painting your nails
With your hot curlers on
Each one a different color
Or listening to that Beach Boys sailing song
Sloop John B or another

CHORUS:
Ethylene, my Ethylene
My love for you is just obscene
My deer you dress
My fish you clean
But you are nowhere to be seen
My Ethylene

Well you could bag your limit
With a bow and arrow
Yeah you could skin a cougar in the dark
Well I thought we were walking
Down the straight and narrow
How'd we ever drift so far apart

I took my eighteen wheels
On this road to nowhere
And you disappeared right up in the hills
Like smoke up a chimney
Girl, I go there
Yeah in my dreams I visit you still

CHORUS

Now some men will drive
To the edges of nothing
So they can take a peak at the great abyss
Some men avoid love
Like it was a plague or something
So they can leave the seat down
When they piss

I miss that crocheted thing
You kept on the Kleenex box
I miss my feet
On your cold linoleum floor
Sippin hot coffee
After makin love till daybreak
Well Ethylene a fool would ask for more

CHORUS TWICE

My Ethylene, my Ethylene, my Ethylene

I hope you enjoyed the song... I love the first line.... see you later!

Day 17 - A Song You Always Hear on the Radio

(Yay!  It's no longer snowing!)
I hear a lot on the radio, but it isn't local radio.  Local radio only has country (okay...) and main stream (bleh!).  We listen to satilite radion.  One song that ALWAYS on (it's a good song and can be played as much as they want because I LOVE IT!!!) is "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourn.

Crazy Train
All aboard! Ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaa!

Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay

Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe it's not too late
To learn how to love
And forget how to hate

Mental wounds not healing
Life's a bitter shame
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train

Let's Go!

I've listened to preachers
I've listened to fools
I've watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules
One person conditioned to rule and control
The media sells it and you live the role

Mental wounds still screaming
Driving me insane
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train

I know that things are going wrong for me
You gotta listen to my words
Yeah

Heirs of a cold war
That's what we've become
Inheriting troubles I'm mentally numb
Crazy, I just cannot bear
I'm living with something' that just isn't fair

Mental wounds not healing
Who and what's to blame
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train

Hope you liked the song!

Day 16 - A Song I used to Like but Now Hate

... It's hailing!  Grrr... *sigh*

Snowing now today,
Is it really May?

Snow stop falling soon,
It's already June!

Snowing in July,
Makes me wanna cry...

I sure hope the last one doesn't come true...

There's a lot of music that I used to like, but now I DISLIKE.  I don't necessairily hate... Wait a sec, GLEE ruined one song for me.  I used to love this song (when the movie Eragon came out... the movie sucked, but I loved this song in the credits), then I didn't hear it for a while... then GLEE sang it.  Here it is.

Keep Holding On - Avril Lavigne
You're not alone
Together we stand
I'll be by your side, you know I'll take your hand
When it gets cold
And it feels like the end
There's no place to go
You know I won't give in
No I won't give in

Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through

So far away
I wish you were here
Before it's too late, this could all disappear
Before the doors close
And it comes to an end
With you by my side I will fight and defend
I'll fight and defend
Yeah, yeah

Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through

Hear me when I say, when I say I believe
Nothing's gonna change, nothing's gonna change destiny
Whatever's meant to be will work out perfectly
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

La da da da
La da da da
La da da da da da da da da

Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through

Keep holding on
Keep holding on

There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through

DESPISE this song now.  I hope that you (didn't) enjoy this song!

Day 15 - A Song That Describes Me

Hello again!  I'm doing this post a day early because I won't have time to post tomorrow.  I have a job now! : )
Let's see... A song that describes me... when?  Like I said in my last post, my personality is quite miscellaneous. Considering that I'm also random at times, I don't follow one track of mind, I feel That this song suits me fine.  Be  warned, Th Arrogant Worms are a comedy group.

Sponges
Can't think of anything to sing about
Not much out there to sing about
The world's okay, the weather's fine
No need to sing about that

I'll sing about

Sponges
Sponges yeah!
Sponges
Sponges yeah yeah
Sponges suck, sponges suck
Sponges absorb liquid then you squeeze them out yeah!

There's lots of songs of peace
Lots of songs of love
Even songs about peaches and Valkyries
No songs about

Tuna fish, tuna fish, tuna fish, tuna fish
They're real big and swim in oceans
Come in cans like hockey pucks
Tuna got their names 'cause they don't swim in pairs!

Get it? Tuna. Are there two of those fish? Nah! Two-nah! Two-nah! It's funny! Hee hee! No? I like tuna.

Sponges
Sponges yeah!
Sponges
Sponges yeah yeah
Sponges suck, sponges suck
Sponges suck, sponges suck
Sponges clean up dishes and sinks
And countertops and baby's noses
They suck up soap and when you squeeze them out they make
Bubbles!
Bubbles!
Bubbles!

Sponges

Yes. I'm so cool.  See you guys later (not tomorrow)!

Day 14 - A Song No One Would Expect Me To Like

*Looking out the window* NOOOOOO!!!!!!
*writes* "Snow stop falling soon, It's already June!!!!"

How do you I know what people would expect me to like?  My personality is somewhat miscellaneous; sometimes I'm calm (boring) and collective, sometimes utterly confused (innocent) and easily bewildered, and sometimes I'm purely full of uncomprehendsableness.  I don't think anyone would expect me to like Irish Punk though... Here you go then!  "What's Left of the Flag" by Flogging Molly!  Enjoy!

What's Left of the Flag
His eyes they closed
and his last breath spoke
he had seen all to be seen
a life once full
now an empty vase
wilt the blossoms
on his early grave

walk away me boys
walk away me boys
and by morning we'll be free
wipe that golden tear
from your mother dear
and raise what's left
of the flag for me
then the rosary beads
count them 1 2 3
fell apart as they hit the floor
in a garb of black
we must pay respect
to the color we were born to mourn
walk away me boys
walk away me boys
and by morning we'll be free
wipe that golden tear
from your mother dear
and raise what's left
of the flag for me

In its place grew
an angry festered wound
full of hatered and remorse
where I pick and scratch
till the blood it matched
silent rage that now fills my lungs
for there are many ways
to kill a man they say
with bayonet, axe or sword
but son a bullet fired
from a shapeless guise
just put the shell of a Thompson gun

walk away me boy
walk away me boys
and by morning we'll be free
wipe that golden tear
from your mother dear
and raise what's left
of the flag for me

from the east out to the western shore
where many men and many more will fall
but no angel flies with me tonight
though freedom reigns on all
and curse the name for which
we slaved our days
so every men chose Kingdom Come
But sure as night turns day
it's the passion play
oh my god
what have they done
with madman's rage
well they dug our graves
but the dead rise again you fools

walk away me boy
walk away me boys
and by morning we'll be free
wipe that golden tear
from your mother dear
and raise what's left
of the flag for me

walk away me boy
walk away me boys
and by morning we'll be free
wipe that golden tear
from your mother dear
and raise what's left
of the flag for me

There you go!  See you all later!
